Valley Metro Rail – Tempe Town Lake Bridge

Structural Grace, Inc. provided the Resident Engineer, Office Engineer, Inspectors and Contract Administrator for the $21 million Tempe Town Lake Bridge contract portion of the Central Phoenix/East Valley Light Rail Transit Project. SGI’s scope also included Constructability review during design, bridge abutment and retaining wall design and coordination for design and installation of art elements. The project required coordination with federal, state and local government entities, utilities, the UP railroad and private businesses.
The Town Lake Bridge project is located just north of downtown Tempe where the light rail line crosses Tempe Town Lake, a man made lake within the banks of the Salt River.
