Stone Stacked Walls at Paradise Reserve
2008 ACEC Engineering Excellence Honor Award
Structural Design Paradise Reserve
Structural Grace designed 3,200 linear feet of natural stone stacked walls for the Paradise Reserve Development in North Phoenix. The owners envisioned a community committed to preserving the integrity of open desert space and create a living tribute to the Sonoran Desert. The retaining walls utilize material found on-site – stone – to create a natural transition between manmade structures and the desert landscape. Structural Grace also provided Special Structural Inspection services for the stone stacked walls, the first of their kind to be permitted for construction in the City of Phoenix.
