Description:
Structural Grace, Inc. performed the structural design of this four span
timber bridge at the Silverleaf Country Club Golf Course. This bridge
carries pedestrian and golf traffic over the desert wash to the club house.
The Scope of Services included review
of pathway plans and geometrics; work with architect and artist in defining
thematic character concepts and associated costs; design and analysis
of all structural elements, including consideration of hydraulic, environmental
and aesthetic impact; preparation of construction documents (plans, quantities,
cost estimates, special provisions); reviewing contractor's shop drawings,
submittals and RFI's.
Key objectives of the project were to
provide a cost effective design that has architectural subtance and lends
itself to the overall aesthetic theme of the Silverleaf Development.
