Constructed between 1935 and 1938, the Little Red Bridge in Encanto Park has long stood as an iconic structure for park users. Generations of Phoenicians recall picnics at Encanto Park with family photos on the Little Red Bridge. It is also frequently the backdrop for wedding photographs. The bridge was a place where many memories were made. In August of 2008, a destructive storm passed through the Phoenix area, affecting nearly the entire valley.
